Site S north of Newgrange

I included a human subject in this picture to give an idea of scale. This is perhaps the largest of the satellite sites around Newgrange, and is located about half a mile or so to the north of Newgrange, in a townland called Monknewtown, Slane. It is interesting to note that the field is scattered with milky quartz stones, the same stones which were used to decorate the front of the Newgrange mound.
