Shown
above is Comet C/2004Q2 Machholz, photographed on January
16th, 2005, at which time the comet was magnitude 3.8 and
easily visible to the naked eye in the constellation Perseus.
The image is a 2-minute exposure using a Nikon D70 at prime
focus on a Celestron NexStar 11 GPS. The ISO setting was 1600.
