This is the forum to discuss what the mystery monuments being built in Meath might be about.

No, haven't found out any more really, yet. Although I have some clues as to their exact location. They're in Meath, not a million miles from either Tara or Newgrange !

I came across the photos on a disk - I hadn't seen them for a few years - so I decided to post them and see if anyone knew anything about them.

My guess is that it was intended to be some kind of tourist attraction, and maybe they ran out of funding.

Lady_Tuatha,

I'm inclined to think you might be right. However, no planning application was made for these structures so far as anyone has been able to ascertain.

Because of their location - in narrow rural fields, away from roads, and each surrounded by trees, I'm thinking that the owner/creator wanted to keep them hidden.

It's bizarre . . .

Thank you for joining the forum by the way. I look forward to your posts.

Ive been floating around this site for years lol its a great website, very informative :) ..

It is kinda strange that there is no news on why someones building those monuments, if I knew the location and was in that part of the country then I'd stop by and ask a local farmer.
