I was in Munich at the weekend. It's a very interesting city of 1.3 million inhabitants. Saw plenty of interesting buildings and architecture on a one-hour bus tour of the city. Unfortunately, I did't get enough time to explore German myths or if there were any Stone Age sites in that country.
I found the city to be very clean. There was no litter, and very few litter bins, so it's obvious the German people are a very clean and tidy nation. Stayed in a hotel called the Innside, which is a brand new, modern hotel accompanied by 32-storey office towers, all beautifully finished in glass. A very nice place.
There's a great Irish bar in the nightclub district called the "Temple Bar", run by a guy called Mic. The craic was 90. We stayed there for hours.
Munich Airport is a very impressive place. Parallel runways, twin terminals, good road and rail access. Spotlessly clean. And all those rows and rows of Lufthansa planes . . .
Wow.
